The above link is a live concert at the Village Vanguard in N.Y.C. The second song of the set is the very famous Jazz standard, Con Alma by Dizzy Gillespie. Gerald Clayton is the son of Bassist John Clayton (who played at the Generations in Jazz Festival and will again at the Lafayette Jazz Festival on Fri., March 5). John is Diana Krall’s musical director and the Artistic Director of the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival). John is also Best Man at Tom Elliott’s Wedding. Mr. Elliott lives in Lafayette and has started many Stanley bass players.

The bass player with Gerald is Joe Sanders. The drummer is Justin Brown. They both played with the Brubeck Fellows when they played at the GIJ Festival five years ago.
